Job Description:
Axalta Coating Systems is seeking a Coatings Color Chemist to join our staff in our Mount Clemens, Michigan facility. The candidate will join the Technology Organization at the North American Technology Center supporting one of our four business segments, Light Vehicle OEM Commercial Transportation, Refinish Coatings, Commercial Transportation Coatings and Industrial Coatings. Under the guidance of a senior professional, the successful candidate will plan, execute and interpret results from experiments in product development and technical service programs.
Primary Responsibilities
Leads technical programs related to color and color development in a team environment.
Has a fundamental understanding of color science including color measurement systems and instrumentation.
Has knowledge of pigments, pigment durability and in-use performance attributes including application, circulation and storage characteristics.
Is responsible for development and implementation of new color formulations in solventborne and waterborne coating systems including initial color definition with the customer, scale-up with manufacturing and optimization of performance at the customer site.
Works as an active member of cross functional project teams with Manufacturing, Product Management, IT and Sales.
Applies statistical methods to investigate problems and analyze results.
May require some travel ( 10%)
Desired Skills and Experience:
Minimum B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related science degree.
Minimum 2-5 years practical color experience.
Product development experience in color and color measurements.
Demonstrated ability to get results.
Ability for effective written and oral communications

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
